UPDATE: The 138th Quartermaster Company Unit, based in Brazil, is scheduled to arrive in Indianapolis at approximately 6:30 p.m., today.
Officials with the National Guard Armory in Brazil said following arrival, family and friends will be able to meet with soldiers at Stout Field, Building 9, 2002 S. Holt Rd., Indianapolis.
The soldiers will then go through a "demobilization process" at Camp Atterbury before being released to come home.
INDIANAPOLIS -- Due to weather conditions on the east coast, the 138th Quartermaster Company Unit, based in Brazil, and the 384th Military Police Company, based in Bloomington, experienced delays on their arrival home.
The Joint Force Headquarters-Indiana issued a press release late Sunday explaining the 138th Quartermaster Company will return to Indianapolis today, at approximately 8 p.m.
Family and friends are invited to meet with soldiers at Stout Field, Building 9, 2002 S. Holt Rd., Indianapolis, but flight times are subject to change, according to the release.
In January, the local unit left for training at Camp Atterbury before being deployed to Iraq.
