Local crowned 2010 Indiana Honey Princess

Lacy Dooley
Lacy Dooley, rural Rockville, was recently crowned the 2010 Indiana Honey Princess by the American Honey Association. She is the daughter of David and Kristy Dooley. She is a senior through home-schooling and is a 10-year member of 4-H.

Lacy has been keeping bees for three years.

She will represent the Indiana Honey Association for the next year and will be giving presentations on honey's health benefits, cooking with honey, beekeeping and the importance of pollination to our crops and food.

She will be an active part of the Indiana State Fair and will work with the Indiana Honey Association to promote local honey all through the state.
