She was born Jan. 11, 1968, in Hendricks County, the daughter of Richard and Ellen Stearley Baker. She attended Brazil High School. She worked as a waitress at I-70 Truck Stop and as a CNA at both Holly Hills Healthcare Facility and at Cloverleaf several years ago. On May 16, 1990, she married Dana Mathews. She has enjoyed being on the computer and social networking, reading and most of all being a wife and mother.
Survivors include her husband Dana, Brazil, two daughters Ashley Oehler, Terre Haute, and Audrey Mathews, Brazil, her parents Dick and Ellen Baker, Terre Haute, grandmother Barbara Stearley, Brazil, one brother Shawn Baker, one sister Lori Taylor and a large extended family.
She was preceded in death by her two infant daughters Aleka Mathews, and Chloe Mathews, and grandparents Marion and June Baker and Wayne Stearley.
Services will be held Saturday at Lawson-Miller Chapel at 4 p.m., with Rev. Bob Kumpf officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, from 2-4 p.m. Cremation was chosen.
