* Three more musicals left in season

The Community Theatre of Clay County has three performances remaining for the 2009-10 season.

"Just A Closer Walk With Thee," is scheduled for Jan. 29-30, at the Lark Theater. The musical will feature a "diverse approach to gospel music" as members of a community band, hand bell choir and singers join together to present an evening of "sacred" music.

From March 11-13, the theatre group will present "Little Shop of Horrors."

The musicals' main character, Seymour, is a nerdy orphan working in Mushnik's Flower Shop in urban Skid Row.

He harbors a crush on his co-worker Audrey and has a new mysterious plan with rather sadistic cravings.

Auditions for the musical are scheduled for 6:30 p.m., Jan. 18.

The final performance of the season will be "The Royal Family," set for May 6-8.

The play, by George Kaufman and Edna Ferber, involves the Cavendish clan, "The Royal Family of Broadway."

Fanny Cavendish leads three generations of legendary American actors. Through all of this, Fanny rules with her courage and a sharp tongue.

Though her children are idols to the public, they are defenseless under her sarcasm.

Auditions for the musical are scheduled for 6:30 p.m., March 15.

Single dinner theatre tickets cost $25, which includes a buffet dinner and performance.

Showtimes for all performances are 7:30 p.m., with dinner beginning at 6:30.

To obtain tickets, call 442-6909. Leave an order and phone number on the message and members of the group will call back to confirm.

Reservations are required for all performances and all sales are final. Cancellations may be made but must be done three days prior to showtime to receive a refund.
