UPDATE: Advisory still in effect

Thursday, January 7, 2010

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis is calling for approximately 2-4 inches of snow through Thursday afternoon, with a high near 24-degrees.

The service added there was a possibility of at least 1 inch of snow Thursday evening, with a low around 14.

There was a 40 percent chance of snow showers Friday, with a high predicted near 19-degrees.

The chance of snow decreases into Friday evening with a low around 5-degrees. The wind chill could make temperatures feel as low as -6-degrees.

The winter weather advisory the service announced Wednesday is still in effect until 7 a.m., Friday.

Roads were expected to become slick and hazardous due to the snow and "heavy snowfall" could reduce visibility, according to the service.

The service continued saying gusty winds would lead to blowing and drifting of snow later Thursday and into the evening.
