The National Weather Service in Indianapolis extended the Winter Weather Advisory for Clay County until 1 p.m., Friday.
According to the service, there was a 40 percent chance of snow showers Friday with highs expected in the low 20s. Wind gusts could reach 25 mph, with wind chill readings of 7-below to 9-below zero.
The forecast for Friday evening calls for a slight chance of flurries throughout the evening with lows around 7-degrees. The chance of snow is 20 percent with wind chill readings of 7-below to 3-above zero.
