A major artery into the City of Brazil became clogged Thursday morning after a two-vehicle accident.
At approximately 6:50 a.m., officials with the Clay County Sheriff's Department responded to the accident, near the Marathon Food Center (Quick Pick South) by County Road 800 N., on State Road 59.
According to a report provided by CCSD, Dep. Brad Hardey stated Lester Clymer, 35, Brazil, was turning east off SR 59 when his vehicle was struck by a truck driven by Joshua Rector, 30, Center Point.
Hardey said two juveniles were in the truck and suffered minor injuries. Both were treated and released from the scene.
Other agencies responding to the accident included Clay County Search and Rescue, TransCare and the Posey Township Volunteer Fire Department.
