She was born Dec. 17, 1922, in Clay County, the daughter of Joe and Pearl Bullerdick Carter.
Following graduation from Van Buren High School, she married her high school sweetheart, James Crabb, whom she was married to for 68 years.
She worked many jobs throughout her life. The last positions she had were at JC Penny's and Danner's stores in Brazil.
She was a past member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was active in the PTA, whilc children attended Perth School. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Dick Johnson Volunteer Fire Department, and was a member of the Fairview Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Kathryn Nixon and Thelma Hayes, and daughter Judy Kaye Eberle.
Survivors include her devoted husband James Crabb, sons Harold Crabb and wife Susan, and Larry Crabb, all of the Brazil area, son-in-law Dan Eberle, Alabama, special granddaughter Lisa Fugate (Raymond), grandsons Jake Crabb, Dirk (Ronda) Crabb, Josh (Kylene) Crabb, Tom (Heather) Eberle, and Chris (Barb) Eberle, seven great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Services will take place at 1 p.m., Thursday, with Rev. Steve Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
