At 7 p.m., today, Steve Cobb will be performing a collection of Christian music.
"He has worked at praise and worship camps all over Indiana," Pastor Mark Thompson said. "He now works with the praise and worship staff with Max Lucado in San Antonio, Texas."
Cobb, originally from Vincennes, Ind., is the brother in-law of Pastor Thompson and is eager about returning to Indiana.
"I'm excited about returning to Indiana," he said. "It'll be nice to come home."
Cobb will be releasing his first CD, Revolution of Love, in which he has worked with some of the best musicians in the industry. The songs however are all about God and the twist and turns that happen in life, drawing from his own experiences he wrote all of the songs.
"It's about change," Cobb said. "Change can be a difficult process but it can be for the better and we should embrace it. The focus is on change and God's love for changes."
During the concert Cobb will be performing a combination of songs involving the guitar, piano and the hammered dulcimer.
"I'm thrilled he has done this," Pastor Thompson said. "He has persevered and humbled himself. He doesn't want fame or fortune. God is truly using him."
The concert is nondenominational and there will be a free will offering.
"The focus is to get the music out there," Pastor Thompson said. "He truly has a gift from God."
Copies of the CD will be available at the concert as well as on iTunes and his website www.stevecobbmusic.com
