Clay City junior high girls down North Clay

The Clay City sixth-grade girls' basketball teams earned wins on the road at North Clay on Wednesday evening.

The Clay City 'A' squad scored an 18-5 win over the Knights as Alisha Steward tallied a game-high 12 points with Haleigh Villain posting four and Courtney Brown scoring two. The Knights got two points each from Alyssa Yocom and Faith Wells with Hannah Reason adding one.

The Clay City fifth-grade team defeated the North Clay sixth-grade 'B' team by an 18-12 score as Lisa Taney had 12 points to lead the Eels. Harley Sinders had four points and Alyssa Hornaday had two points. North Clay got Tayler Okulovich had six, Shayla English had two along with Faith Hixon and Avery Deckard.

The North Clay squads are now 0-2 overall.
