Area business ranks among magazine best

Financial services firm Edward Jones recently ranked No. 2 on Fortune magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For 2010" list.

Edward Jones also ranked No. 1 for large-sized companies.

Edward Jones has been included in the rankings 11 times, including eight top-10 finishes and consecutive No. 1 rankings in 2002 and 2003.

This is the second-straight year the business ranked No. 2.

Currently, Edward Jones has more than 600 positions available throughout the country.

The most positions open are that of financial advisor and branch office administrator.

Each Edward Jones branch office includes one financial advisor and one branch office administrator, who work one-on-one with clients in their prospective communities.

Edward Jones provides financial services for individual investors in the United States. Its headquarters is located in St. Louis.

There are two Edward Jones offices in Clay County. One office, located at 22 N. Meridian St., Brazil, is under the direction of Toni Carter.

The other office, located at 356 E. National Ave., Brazil, is under the direction of Lynsey Lunsford.
