The Modern Homemakers met on Jan. 14 at the home of Wilma Modesitt.
Festivities began with the reading of a devotion entitled "Prayers," read by Katherine Boriellez. Marge Stoelting followed the devotion with roll call, as eight members declared themselves present.
Marge also read the minutes of the last meeting, which took place at the Glory Days Restaurant in Clay City.
Louise Fagg gave the citizenship report on "Banks of the Wabash Far Away." The group also discussed plans for the upcoming Bake Sale, which is to be held on Feb. 19 and 20.
The lesson for the month was entitled "Extraordinary Uses for Ordinary Things."
The meeting was dismissed with the Homemakers Prayer.
The next meeting is scheduled for Feb. 24. It will be at the home of Marge Stoelting.
