Staunton First Christian Church

Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m., with worship service following at 10:30. Doug Parkey is the minister.

If you need transportation to morning worship service, phone the church office at 446-3211. The bus is wheelchair equipped.

Children's Church and Wee Worship meet at 10:30 a.m., in the Educational Building.

Wednesday evening Bible study and prayer group meet at 7 p.m.

Our annual "Souper Bowl" get-together will be Feb. 7, beginning at 4 p.m. Soup, sandwiches and drinks will be provided. Those attending are asked to bring finger foods or dessert to share.

Staunton United Methodist Church

Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m., with church service following at 10:30. David Brown is our Pastor and his wife Elaine brings the Children's Message. Glenna Simons is the pianist.

This Sunday, Jan. 31, at 10 a.m. (right before morning worship service), we will have a time of refreshments and fellowship to celebrate members of our congregation who have had birthdays in January.

Our annual Winter Chili Mixer and Silent Auction will be Sunday, Feb. 14, at 5 p.m. Everyone is invited to join in the evening of fun. You can bring a container of your favorite chili, or just come to enjoy the food and fellowship.

Happy birthday to Kerry Scamihorn Feb. 1, and to Mark Ave, Feb. 2.

Remember that the Community Food Pantry is open in the church's basement from 3-5 p.m., on the last Wednesday afternoon of each month.

The next Food Pantry day will be Wednesday, Feb. 24. Anyone in the Staunton area in need of help is welcome.

We truly appreciate the support of Staunton First Christian Church and Staunton Elementary School, as well as other churches, civic organizations and individuals in helping to make this needed outreach a success.

Please keep praying for everyone who is battling illness, as well as all the brave men and women of our military and their families. Also remember in prayer all the folks in nursing homes and hospitals, and those who have lost loved ones. Go out of your way to be kind to someone and pray for everyone.
