She was born Sept. 15, 1926, in Owen County, to Walter and Lillian (West) Ranard.
Mrs. Sanburn attended Spencer High School.
She worked at RCA in Bloomington in the 40s and 50s, Riggs Department Store in Spencer in the 60s and Spencer's Chicago's Pizza in the 90s.
She was an active member of the Spencer Baptist Church for more than 50 years. Wilma loved her family, reading her Bible, mowing her yard and cooking for her family.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Lynn Sanburn, son Roger Sanburn, Spencer, daughters Rita (Bob) Sampson, Brazil, and Cathy (Randy) Patterson, Spencer, brothers James Ranard, Crawfordsville, and Stephen Ranard, Spencer, grandchildren Bob (Marlene) Sampson, Lori (Ty) Marlow, Joshua Sanburn, Holly (Matt) Lantz, Hope (Justin) Hobbs, and Heath Patterson, nine great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Jack Ranard.
Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, at the Spencer Baptist Church, 110 N. Washington St., with Rev. Shannon Benham, Rev. James Ranard and Pastor Bob Sampson officiating.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Monday, at West and Parrish and Pedigo Funeral Home, Spencer, and Tuesday, at 11 a.m., to service time at the church.
