North Central boys down Clay City

FARMERSBURG -- The North Central Thunderbirds got outstanding play during the middle two quarters to edge past the visiting Clay City Eels on Thursday night, 68-58.

After being tied at 12 through the first eight minutes, North Central outscored the Eels 37-19 during the second and third quarters to post the victory. Clay City scored 27 points in the fourth quarter but came up short in the contest.

Logan Higgins led Clay City with 19 points followed by 13 from Tyler Bridgewater.

Jordan Stefancik had 19 for North Central followed by 17 apiece from Bobby Swaby and Ethan Stanifer.

The Eels are 3 -14 overall and host Linton on Tuesday evening.
