Delores Alline (Vansickle) Howell, 79, Clay City, was ushered into Heaven to meet her Lord Friday, Feb. 12, 2010, at 3:46 p.m.
Born Sept. 15, 1930, in Greenup County, Ky., she was the daughter of Fred and Ethel (Fetters) Vansickle.
She was united in marriage to Lloyd James Howell Aug. 5, 1948.
She was a member of the Heritage Baptist Church in Clay City. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and brothers Buck, Bert and Sam Vansickle.
Survivors include sons and their wives Roger and Jan Howell, Saline City, Gary and Deborah Howell, South Shore, Ky., and Dean and Kim Howell, Clay City, daughters Brenda Boggs and Deborah and Walter Ream, Clay City, grandchildren Paul Boggs, David Boggs, Jamie Boggs, Kimberly Howell, Matthew Howell, Michael Howell, Garrick Howell, Samantha (Ream) Marrs, Adam Ream and Kayla Howell Edwards, great-grandchildren Sarah (Boggs) Craft, Zachery Paul Boggs, Zoey Boggs, Gavin Boggs, Zachary Austin Boggs, Adam Lipscomb, Jesse Lipscomb, Mason Howell, Morgan Howell, Maelynn Howell, Leslie Howell, Luke Howell, Laynie Howell, and Jack Edwards, great-great-granddaughter Bryleigh Craft, sister Beulah Defoe, Portsmouth, Ohio, brothers William Vansickle, South Shore, Ky., Melvin Vansickle, Medway, Ohio, John Vansickle, McEwen, Tenn., and Paul Vansickle, Milam, Texas, and a large extended family.
Services will take place at 1 p.m., Monday, at Heritage Baptist Church, 543 Beech Church Rd., Clay City, with Pastors Steve Tyra and Bob Dickey officiating. Burial will follow at Beech Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Monday, at the church.
