The National Weather Service in Indianapolis issued a Winter Storm Warning for Clay County effective until 7 p.m., Monday.
The service called for the possibility of 3-5 inches of snow from a system moving through the area.
According to the service, roads could become "impassable due to heavy snow. Travel may become very hazardous, especially during morning rush hour.
The service called for snow Monday with highs in the mid-20s.
There is a 30 percent chance of snow showers Monday evening, with lows estimated in the upper teens.
