The event will take place at the Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Department, 1960 E CR 600 N, Brazil, and has been scheduled for Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m.
The Clay County Farm Bureau will sponsor the event.
Clay County Farm Bureau representative Marshall Nuckolls told The Brazil Times four area representatives are scheduled to be at the event.
District 37 State Sen. Richard Bray, along with District 44 State Rep. Nancy Michael, District 43 State Rep. Clyde Kersey, and District 46 State Rep. Vern Tincher, will attend the event.
Nuckolls said the organization would know later in the week if District 39 State Sen. John Waterman would be able to attend the meeting.
Nuckolls added he hoped a discussion on real estate tax and how a proposal to change its current formula would take place at the meeting.
"I think that's going to be the biggest thing that (Farm Bureau) is going to be working on," he said. "I think that's going to be the biggest issue."
Other items he hopes will be discussed include the proposal of one county executive statewide and more on property tax, among other issues.
The public is invited to attend the meeting and refreshments will be served.
Nuckolls said he hopes to schedule a "wrap-up" Cracker Barrel, for people to find out about state laws. However, no date has been set.
