The North Clay seventh-grade girls' basketball teams continued their impressive start to the season by picking up wins over South Putnam and Sullivan last week.
The Knights' 'A' team picked up a 36-12 win over the Eagles as both Mikayla Rowan and McKenzi Kumpf each had eight points. Rowan pulled down seven rebounds to lead the squad with Kumpf grabbing five.
Shelby Timberman contributed another eight points to go with four boards and Whitney Halfhill had six points and four rebounds. Mallory Smith tallied four points and six rebounds and Emily Conrad had two points.
In the 'B' game, North Clay won a 34-2 decision paced by 14 points from Hannah Minor and six from Stephanie Ellingsworth. Taylor Walker added four points and five rebounds with Shea Britton scoring four as well. Carli Gambill, Sydney Buell and Mahalie Harris each had two points.
On Saturday, the Knights got off to a slow start against Sullivan, falling behind 16-8 at halftime, but rallied to outscore the Arrows, 15-3 in the third quarter to take a 23-19 advantage on the way to a 30-26 victory.
Rowan had 10 points and 12 rebounds followed by six points and seven boards from Timberman. Halfhill and Conrad each had five points and Kumpf added four points.
The Knights will be back in action tonight at home against West Vigo at 6 p.m
