The Northview High School band program will sponsor its annual chicken noodle dinner and Pops concert, Sunday.
This is the 23rd year the program has conducted the event.
Serving will be from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m., and will include chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, slaw or applesauce, drinks, rolls and dessert.
Cost is $6.50 for adults. Children 10-under will be admitted for $4, and children 2-under will be admitted free.
This year, there is a new drive-up, to-go service that will be available.
Those interested in taking advantage of the service should call 812-230-8262 and when they arrive, their meal will be waiting.
Pickup for the to-go meals will be in the front parking lot at the high school near the far west entrance.
Those interested in taking advantage of the service may also e-mail NHS Band Director Bob Medworth with a request pickup time and the meal will be ready.
Following the dinner, concerts will take place in the NHS auditorium from 12:30-2:30 p.m., including the NHS jazz bands, North Clay Middle School seventh- and eighth-grade bands, high school bands, guest artists and more.
Also, the cadet corps, percussion ensemble, indoor percussion unit and winter guard will perform in the high school gymnasium at 1:30 p.m.
All proceeds from the event go to help the band boosters fund year-round programs.
