Mrs. Alma Dell Pursell Hale, 69, Fillmore, passed away Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010, at the Putnam County Hospital.

Born March 23, 1940, in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Donald and Jane (Kemper) Berry.

She was a graduate of Van Buren High School, class of 1958, in Brazil.

She married Thomas J. "Tom" Hale June 23, 2004, and he survives.

Dell had been a food service worker at various locations. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Greencastle.

Survivors include her husband, children Chris Pursell and wife Debbie, Irvine, Calif., Jeff Pursell and wife Angie, Brazil, Tracy Pursell and wife Mykee, Greenwood, and Wendy Richardson and husband Curt, Fillmore, stepchildren Tammy Hinote and husband Steve, Veedersburg, Scott Hale and wife Andrea, Carmel, Jeff Hale and wife Mandy, Lafayette, and Kim Molter, Boswell, sisters Kathryn Girton, Brazil, Nancy McCooley, Hammond, and Ona Cuthberson, Rosedale, brothers Sherman Berry and Raymond Berry, both of Mansfield, 11 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Pete Berry, and granddaughter Emily Anne Pursell.

Funeral services will take place at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010, at the First Baptist Church, 404 Judson Ct., Greencastle, with the burial to follow at the Fillmore Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the church, Wednesday, from 1:30 p.m., until time of service.
