The Warren County Soil and Water Conservation District, along with Purdue Extension -- Warren County, will host a Cover Crop Workshop, Wednesday, March 10.
Registration for the event is from 8:30-9 a.m. The program runs from 9 a.m.-noon.
Presenters and topics include:
* John Obermeyer, Purdue Extension Entomologist, "Are There Insect Issues with Cover Crops,"
* Stacy Odum, USDA-NRCS Resource Management Specialist, "Making Cover Crops Work For You,"
* Eileen Kladivko, Purdue Professor of Agronomy, "Cover Crops for Soil and Water Quality," and
* Kelly Pearson, Purdue Extension Educator -- Warren County, "Pesticide Record Keeping."
The event will take place at Wilbur Pearson's Shop, Independence.
The Indiana Private Pesticide Applicator Recertification Program will offer a $10 fee assessed for Credit for the PARP program.
