Athlene Fuller, 80, Boise, Idaho, passed away peacefully at her home, with her family by her side, Wednesday evening, Feb. 3, 2010.

Athlene was born Nov. 25, 1929, in Ogden, Utah, to Lawrence Sparks and Gertrude Burt Sparks.

On June 12, 1948, she married Richard Raymond Fuller. Together, they had raised two sons.

Athlene worked a series of jobs before become a Tax Payers Service Rep with the IRS. She eventually retired to become a homemaker and travel with her husband.

They enjoyed their retirement together by spending time with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren and visiting family near and far.

"Mimi," as she was called by her grandchildren, was a woman of great beauty and witty humor. She lit up a room with her charm and beautiful red hair. With classic, Hollywood good looks and style, she lived life with grace and to its fullest. She will be greatly missed by her family.

Athlene is survived by her husband Dick, Boise, Idaho, son Steven and wife Paula, Boise, Idaho, son Nathan and wife Rina, Renton, Wash., grandchildren Robyn Douglas, Alexander and Samara, great-grandchildren Andrew, Jessica, Jacob, Hannah and Alyssa, sister Jessie, brothers Kenneth and Warren, along with many nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to the staff at Harrison Hope Hospice for providing care and direction to Athlene and her family in their time of need.

Services for Athlene took place Feb. 8, at the Alden-Waggoner Chapel, 5400 Fairview, Boise, Idaho.

Flowers may be sent to Alden-Waggoner, or memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org/idaho), or Simply Cats (www.simplycats.org).
