Local business honored

Thursday, March 4, 2010

Gov. Mitch Daniels (left) and Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman (right) recently awarded Forsyth Brothers Concrete Products owners Carol (second from left) and Jeff Bell the Century Business award.
Jeff and Carol Bell, owners of Forsyth Brothers Concrete Products, recently accepted a Century Business award from Gov Mitch Daniels and Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman at the Indiana Statehouse.

Every year, the state recognizes Indiana companies that have stood the test of time and remained in business for 50-plus year. Forsyth Brothers was founded in 1907 by two of Carol's great uncles and dealt in coal and manufactured concrete burial vaults.

After 102 years, as a family owned business, the company continues to service funerals with nationally recognized Doric and Trigard burial vaults and manufactures Jet aeration home sewage treatment plants, septic tanks and other concrete products.
