A portion of Interstate-70 was closed early Friday after a semi-truck caught fire.
The incident took place at approximately 1:30 a.m., Friday, as the truck was traveling eastbound near the Clay-Putnam county line.
According to reports, the driver and passenger noticed an orange glow coming from the dash. The two managed to exit the vehicle before it became fully engulfed.
The driver and passenger were reportedly taken to a local hospital to be treated for minor burns.
The fire closed the eastbound lane of I-70 throughout the night, but both lanes are now open.
The truck was expected to be removed from the area sometime Friday morning.
