Clarence was a Navy Veteran of WWII, serving from 1943-1945. In November 1941, Clarence and Beulah Sheese Dayhuff were united in marriage. They were married for 64 years before her death in March 2005.
He worked as a machinist during his working years including working at Twigg Industries. He attended Fairview Christian Church.
Survivors include his one daughter Sally Freeman, Zephyr Hills, Fla., four grandchildren Jonathan (Christine) Freeman, Mark Freeman, Ericka Freeman and Jeannie Freeman, three great-grandchildren, all of Florida, two brothers-in-law, Marvin Sheese and Earl David Sheese and one sister-in-law, Rosella Taylor and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Evelyn, one sister and one brother.
Graveside services will be conducted Monday, at 1 p.m., at Fiscus Cemetery, outside of Coal City. Pastor Warren Whittington will preside over services. Services were entrusted to French Funeral Home.
