March 30 "Simple Desserts" will be presented by Claralou Thompson, Sue Urban and Jo Ann Nees at 1 p.m. at the Clay County 4-H Fairgrounds.

The associate chapter of Tri Kappa met Monday, March 1, at the First United Methodist Church Trayler Hall. After the Tri Kappa Prayer, an enjoyable dinner was prepared by Goodies Galore.
The meeting was opened by President Sandy Henderson.
The opening song and verse was recited. Minutes of the Feb. 1, meeting were read by recording secretary Mary Ann Froderman.
Jacque Reberger will send a memorial to the state in memory of Mary Longshore. Jacque will also send a card to Marian Harrison.
Correspondence was read by Mary Ann. We received a thank you card from the State Gifted and Talented for our donation. Also a thank you from the Humane Shelter for our donation last month.
A newsletter from the SOS was sent around for everyone to read. Susie Freeman, Kathy Bell, Kim Stearley and Mary Anne Gossett will buy the gifts for the SOS child we have sponsored for April.
Kim Stearley gave the treasurer's report. There were no bills presented.
Sandy received an e-mail from the State Scholarship Chairman thanking us for our donation to their scholarship program.
Everyone thought the article in the newspaper about Tri Kappa Week was very well written.
Sandy reported that the by-laws have been approved by the state.
Their was no report regarding the Literacy Project yet.
All members present brought new or slightly used books which will be presented to the SOS for their library. We will continue this project for our May meeting. Ellen Packard will deliver them for us.
April 5 will be inspection so there will not be an April meeting.
The committee of Sandy Henderson, Mary Anne Gossett and Susie Freeman met and planned our article for the State President's Book which the state will print. Susie Freeman wrote the article and presented it to the group to read.
Janice Clark moved and Jacque Reberger seconded to purchase a park bench along with the active chapter. The motion was passed. Money was collected and Susie Freeman will connect with the active chapter to order the bench.
Jacque ask if the December meeting could be held in a restaurant.
Everyone agreed but would like it to be held in Clay County. Susie Freeman will contact Roberta Weliever to see if the Sarah Circle would be able to provide our meals for next year. She will report at the May meeting.
Sandy thanked the March committee: Veda Bussing, Celeste Thomas, Diane Reynolds, Janet Trout, Martha Love, and Marsha Raab.
The May meeting will be May 3, 2010, with Marsha Wyndham, Kathy Witham, Gail Williams, Cheryl Love and Shirley Witt as hostesses.
The meeting was closed with the closing verse. Ellen Packard presented the program about the Eastside Angel Fund. She told of several ways that the angel fund helps, such as lunch for field trips, medicine, shoes, socks,etc. She read several letters from members of her class who really appreciated our help.
The silent auction was won by Jane Mercer and Jacque Reberger who were presented gift certificates from Walgreens.
