This year, the business has scheduled the service for March 24-25. The business is located at 19 N. Walnut St., Brazil, but also has two offices in Terre Haute, as well as offices in Bloomington and Bedford.
"We've been doing this for several years," Stadler and Company Brazil office manager Tony Smiley said. "We just don't advertise it."
Smiley told The Brazil Times the company typically hands out letters to area churches letting families know of the free service.
"It's our way to give back to the community," Smiley said. "And it seems like it grows every year."
Smiley said because there is a limited amount of time during those two days, people interested should call in advance to schedule an appointment.
He added those wishing to have their taxes prepared during the two days can't have any attachments.
Smiley said the event is typically scheduled at the end of March because by that point, the tax season begins to slow down.
"This is something we've done quietly over the years," he said. "We feel that the community provides us with everything, so we should give back to the community."
Smiley said the Brazil office is open Monday-Friday, from 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
