Quilt Show set to take place in June

Wednesday, March 24, 2010

The Brown County Historical Society and the Pioneer Women are inviting individuals and groups to the 32nd Quilt Show.

This year's show will take place June 4-5, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and June 6, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Admission is $5 for adults and $4 for seniors. Children under 12 will be admitted free.

There will be more than 100 quilts on display. Anyone may enter a quilt or quilted item (new or antique).

Those entering quilts may have them judged for a $3 fee. This year's judge will be Karen Hasler.

Hand Quilting, Weaving and Spinning will be demonstrated during the show hours.

Local musicians will perform as well for listening enjoyment.

A lunch cafe with homemade salads and desserts will be available and a gift show with hand-crafted items and a special exhibit on Applique are also on the agenda.

Ady's Fabric and Notions, located in Morgantown, will be at the event for sewing needs.

The Pioneer Women have hand-quilted a Trapunto quilt that will also be raffled off during the last day of the show.

Tickets are $1 each or six for $5.
