Peniel United Methodist Church

Peniel services will begin with Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m.

An Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday, April 3, at 1 p.m. at the home of Bob and Mary Anderson.

Our Sunrise Service will be at 6:30 a.m., followed by breakfast. Sunday School will be at 9:45 a.m., with Worship Service at 10:45 a.m.

Rev. Pippin and the congregation invited the public to attend any of these services.

Take 5

"Take 5," a high-energy, action packed evening for grade schoolers through high school students, will take place Friday.

Besides the usual gymnasium-game room activities, there will be a Duck Walk and in the Artist's Circle, "Spring Resurrection."

There will be prizes for the winners in both. Food will also be served and everything is free.

"Take 5" will begin at 8 p.m., at the old junior high school gym., 201 Washington St., Brazil.

It is fully chaperoned.

Brazil First United Methodist Church

Celebrate Holy Week with us, beginning Thursday, April 1, we will celebrate the Lord's Supper at 7 p.m.

The Community Good Friday service is at noon on April 2. Music will be offered by the Chancel Choir, Sam Glover, Kandace Brown, Handbell Choir and the Contemporary Praise Team.

The Gospel according to Matthew will be read by Scott Aselage of Knightsville UMC, Bob Witte of First Christian Church, Mark Thompson of First Baptist Church, Jeff Bridgewater of Bee Ridge Congregational Church, Dick McShanog of Benwood Mt. Lebanon Church and Ruth Fischer of Clay County Community Benevolence. A special offering will be taken to support the Benevolence Ministry.

"God is Closer than you think" is also a small group discussion on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. Good Intentions Bible Study will next meet on Thursday, April 8.

Little Historic Church at Carbon

The Little Historic Church at Carbon will have their Friday program on April 9. There will be a pitch-in dinner at 6 p.m., with the program at 7 p.m.

This month the entertainment will be provided by the Community Choir with the cantata "Behold the Lamb."

Everyone is invited to attend.
