BRIDGETON -- The 18th Mountain Man Rendezvous will take place April 24-25, in Bridgeton.
The event will run from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., each day.
Those interested in attending will be able to experience authentic pre-1840s living in a historic setting.
Walk through the Mountain Man encampment complete with trading posts and pioneer goods for sale. Watch live black powder muzzle loader shooting at 11 a.m., both days, or see a primitive bow shoot Saturday, at 1 p.m., and a canoe race on Raccoon Creek, at 2 p.m.
Knife and tomahawk throwing demonstrations will also take place both days.
There is no admission charge to any of the events.
In addition, the Bridgeton Volunteer Fire Department will conduct a Jonah Fish Fry Saturday, April 24, from 2-7 p.m., at its new firehouse.
Ham and bean dinners will also be served during lunch at Collom's General Store.
Bridgeton is located in southern Parke County, nine miles south of Rockville.
