He was born on June 4, 1927, in Clay County, to William and Dora (Miller) Logsdon. He attended Cory High School and graduated in 1945. He was married to Estelle Logsdon on Aug. 14, 1946, and lived in the Cory area on a dairy and grain farm. He was a director for the Associated Milk Producers, Inc. After retiring, due to bad health, they moved to Winter Haven, Fla., returning to this area in 1989. He was a member of the Union United Methodist Church.
Surviving is his wife, children Vicki Gil, Indianapolis, Randy Logsdon and wife Melody, Valparaiso, and Debra and Steve Grigsby, Brazil, grandchildren Holly Bell, Matthew Grigsby and Ashley Swearingen and Jason and Valerie Logsdon and three great-grandchildren Michael Doan, and Brody and Bailey Bell, and sister Wilma Ely, Arizona.
Preceding him in death are his parents and brothers Herbert Logsdon and Earl Logsdon.
Services will be held at Lawson-Miller Chapel, Brazil, Thursday, April 22, 2010, at 1 p.m., with Rev. Robert Muncie officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, from noon-1 p.m. It is requested that flowers be omitted and any donations be made to the Union United Methodist Church 780 E. County Road 600 N. Brazil, Ind. 47834, or to a favorite charity.
