Praise, worship service to benefit middle schoolers

Wednesday, April 21, 2010

The community is invited to attend a live musical praise and worship service to help several middle school students in the area.

"What if it were your child?" will be presented at the Brazil Walnut Theater from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, April 29. The community event is a fundraising opportunity to help local middle school-age students (and their families) who are in need by providing the collected donations to the Clothes Closet program and another portion for a student who has mounting medical costs due to an illness. All donations will be used to support these children during their time of need.

Several "guest hosts" from North Clay Middle School will introduce live entertainment acts, including the following:

* Original, uplifting music by RideTheWind,

* Live drama performed by Eternal Cry,

* Comedy by Uncle Les,

* Musical selections by House of Hope,

* Lisa Krause, and

* Destinee Rivera and Kaleen Wetnight.

Although tickets will be available for a $3 donation at the door to support the program, event organizer Les Rivera told The Brazil Times no one will be turned away.

This is a great way to help out families in need. It may also spread the Word to those who otherwise might not have a chance to hear it.
