She was born March 23, 1922, in Parke County, to William and Clara (Bemis) Ellison.
She graduated from Bridgeton High School with the class of 1940. She married O. Leo Thomas, who preceded her in death. Marjorie was employed at Ann Page Foods for 27 years, and has lived in Terre Haute since 1985.
Marjorie enjoyed knitting, reading, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leo Thomas, brothers Kenneth Ellison and Wayne Ellison, and sister Mildred Jones.
She is survived by her "special son" David Siegelin and wife Erica, Indianapolis, sisters Rosemary Siegelin and husband James, Brazil, and Betty Philabaum, Carbon, brother John Ellison and wife Wilma, Brazil, nieces Vickie Hardesty, Cindy Siegelin and Carol Vanatti, nephews Ricky Philabaum, Michael Siegelin, Allen Fitch, Darren Fitch and Kevin Fitch, as well as several great nieces and nephews and extended family members.
Services will be at Lawson-Miller Chapel, Saturday, April 24, 2010, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Kenny Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Lawson-Miller Chapel, Friday, April 23, 2010, from 4-8 p.m.
