Jack Evans, 80, passed from this life Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at Bay Medical Center.
He was born in Center Point, on Oct. 27, 1929, to Arthur and Rufina (Crafton) Evans.
Mr. Evans was a laborer of foundry and retired from Bridgetport Brass Co.
He has lived here since 1997, coming from Indianapolis and was of the Protestant faith.
Mr. Evans was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. and a member of the Lions Club.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Donald, Richard, Bill and Carroll Evans.
Mr. Evans is survived by his wife of 58 years Eula J. Evans, Chipley, Fla., sons David B. Evans, Concord, Mich., and Mark D. Evans and wife Suzy, Newman, Ga., brother Marion M. Evans and wife Patt, Los Alamos, N.M., sister Madge Weaver and husband Tim, Brazil, and grandchildren Nathan and Lauren.
Funeral services will take place at 3 p.m., Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Brown Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Danny Burns officiating. Memorialization by cremation.
