Northview girls tennis sweeps past Wildcats

The Northview girls tennis team evened it season mark with a 5-0 sweep over visiting Western Indiana Conference opponent South Vermillion on Thursday night.

The Knights didn't drop a set in scoring the 5-0 win over the Wildcats to improve their record to 3-3 overall.

In singles play, Hannah Pond cruised to a 6-2, 6-1 win over Andrea John, Kaci Kehrt was a winner at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-0 and Conner Reinoehl scored a 6-4, 6-2 victory at No. 3 singles.

In doubles action, the team of Lauren Reberger and Briana Cook won 6-1, 6-0 over the Wildcats' Jessica Gohman and Ashley Farrington. At No. 2 doubles, Carli Coughanowr and Elizaberth Emmert won a 6-0, 6-0 match over Jessie Lubovich and Emily Walters.

The Knights are back in action on Tuesday with a home match against Owen Valley.
