Upcoming opponents of the Clay City softball team should beware. Senior Eels pitcher, Shelby Targett, is starting to find her old form again.

Targett started off the season with a little bit of a control issue, walking more batters than she's been accustomed to over her previous three years of starting duty for Clay City. However, her last two outings have shown the form that has led her to so much success in the past. Not surprisingly, the Eels have won both, including a 4-1 win on Thursday night over Terre Haute North.

Coming off a victory over top-ranked Riverton Parke in which she allowed just three hits and a single run, Targett duplicated the feat against the Patriots. Terre Haute North managed only three hits off the senior and added two hits in three at-bats at the plate.

Madison Booe added a two-run home run and Shaya Stevenson went 2-for-3 as well for the Eels.
