Maryellen Chatham, 66, Brownsburg, formerly of Brazil, passed away at 12:20 a.m., April 19, 2010, at her home, following an extended illness.
She was born Feb. 17, 1944, in Clay County, to Harry and Mary Howald.
She was married July 25, 1965, to Larry Chatham for whom she shared her life for 42 years.
She was active in her church, and loved showing hospitality to neighbors and friends.
Maryellen was preceded in death by her parents, husband Larry, grandmother Gladys Cox and great-aunt Leatha Bell, for whom she had taken into her home and lovingly cared for.
She is survived by two sons Michael Aaron Chatham and wife Tammie, and Aaron James "A.J." Chatham, grandson Logan Chatham, all of Brownsburg, two close aunts Betty Gallez and husband David, and Annabelle Sneddon, along with several other extended family members and many close friends and neighbors.
A memorial service will be conducted May 1, at 2 p.m., at Hillcrest Baptist Church, Danville, with Pastor Leroy Pickering officiating.
