The Northview 'B' team split a pair of games this week, defeating Mooresville before falling to Terre Haute South on Thursday evening.

The Knights strung together a six-run inning to defeat the Pioneers, 6-2, earlier in the week.

Craig Peters started the game, throwing three innings and allowing both Pioneer runs in the third inning while giving up three hits and striking out three batters. Brock Wheeler came in to close out the game with two scoreless innings, striking out four and not allowing a hit.

At the plate, Bryant Pestoff smacked a double and drove in two runs in a 2-for-3 night with Carson Kleiber also picking up a two base hit in a 2-for-3 game. Tanner Glenn had two RBI for the Knights with a hit and Curtis Grove also added a hit in the victory.

On Thursday, visiting Terre Haute South rallied from a 5-0 deficit to put seven runs on the board in the third inning to pick up a 7-6 win.

Curtis Grove started the game and allowed four runs over 2 1/3 innings before giving way to Coleman Craig, who finished out the game with two strikeouts and two hits allowed over the final 2 2/3 innings. Craig allowed just one run in finishing out the game.

Peters had a double along with Tyler Wilson, who had a 2-for-3 game with an RBI. Craig helped his own cause with a two-run double.

The Knights are 6-3 on the season headed into today's JV tourney at Northview that begins at 10 a.m.

On Thursday night, the Northview 'C' team squeezed out a 4-3 win against Terre Haute South as Steven Watts picked up the pitching victory with eight strikeouts over five innings without giving up a walk. He allowed five hits to the Braves.

Devin Clark showed off his wheels while stealing four bases and scoring twice with a base hit in the win. Dan Reberger drove in a pair of runs with a 2-for-2 performance at the plate and two doubles. Jordan Girton added two RBI with a hit and Brett Warren also had a hit for the Knights, who improved to 6-0 on the season.
