All committee members are encouraged to attend the organizational meeting on Monday, May 3, at Riddell National Bank. There will not be a Team Captain Meeting on that day.
However, everyone involved in the planning of the upcoming event should bring all their information and questions to the meeting to ensure all activities are in order.
The 2010 Clay County American Cancer Society Relay For Life event is scheduled for May 22-23, 2010, at the Clay County YMCA.
With a goal to raise $40,000 during the fundraising event, it's not too late to participate in Relay For Life.
Thursday, May 6, is the day to show your support by "Painting the Town Purple" while wearing purple clothing to show support for cancer survivors, honor those who lost the fight against cancer and show their resolve to end this terrible disease.
Due to scheduling conflicts, The Brazil Times Relay For Life Carnival will take place at The Times building (100 North Meridian St.) between 1-3 p.m. Saturday, May 15.
Any Relay team interested in having a booth during the carnival should contact Times' General Manager Lynne Llewellyn (446-2216) no later than noon, Friday, May 14.
