The Community Theater of Clay County will perform its final production of the 2009-10 season May 6-8, when the troupe presents, "The Royal Family."
The performance is a three act American comedy written by George Kauffman and Edna Ferber about three generations of the theatrical Cavendish family.
Modeled on the Barrymore clan, the Cavendish dynasty dominates the American stage in 1927. It is a story that tells the bittersweet romance between life and the stage. The eccentric acts its way through life proving the show "must go on," and that they have "greasepaint" in their veins.
The performance is being directed by Carol McConnell and Elaine Clarke.
Actors include Julia Kapke (Fanny Cavendish), Ashley Vitz (Julie Cavendish Talbot), Alyssa Papinchock (Gwen Talbot), Ryan Lawson (Anthony Cavendish), Carl McKinney (Robert Dean), Keri Fagg (Kitty Dean), Vince Braun (Oscar Wolfe), Nick Lovett (Perry Stewart), Sandra Gibbens (Della), Carolyn Warner (Katie), Erika Disney (Jo), Carrie Rushton (McDermott), Tony Smiley (Gilbert Marshall), and JoAnn Stearley (Miss Peake).
Doors open at 6 p.m., each evening, and dinner will be served at 6:30.
Tickets are available by calling Lisa Beyers at 442-6909. Cost for a ticket is $25, which includes dinner and the performance. Reservations must be made in advance.
