Northview falls short of Miners and Braves in tight golf match

The Northview boys golf team shot a very solid team score of 145, but came up short against a pair of sectional foes at Forest Park on Monday night.

Terre Haute South shot a 143 with Linton one stroke back at 144 in the three-way match.

The Knights got a trio of 36's from Drew Snyder, Ryan Turner and Josh Hoskins with Jarrod Short at 37, Brad Smith at 39 and Daniel Eaglin at 40.

The Braves shot a three-over-par round of 143 for their best score of the year to win the match.

The Miners took medalist honors as freshman Cole Bradbury carded a two-under-par 33. The Braves got a 35 from Shelby Stewart and Brock Welch to lead the team.

The Knights (6-3 overall) host South Vermillion on Thursday.
