The Northview 'C' baseball team improved to 10-1-1 this season with an 11-3 victory over visiting Bloomington South on Tuesday night.
The Knights got six strong innings on the mound from Brock Smith, who allowed just two runs while striking out six and giving up three hits in earning the victory. Cole Watts came in to close out the game with an inning of work, giving up a run, a hit and striking out a batter.
At the plate, Tanner Glenn's grand slam in the fifth inning blew the game wide open as Northview plated eight runs in the frame. Smith added a 2-for-4 night at the plate to help his cause and stole three bases. Glenn had five RBI's in the contest and both Dan Reberger and Dakota Davis had two hits each. Reberger also had a double and Davis scored twice and stole two bases. Watts also had a double and an RBI in the victory.
The Knights are off until a trip to Edgewood on Tuesday, May 18 in a re-match against the only team to beat them.
The Northview 'B' team also picked up a victory this week, pounding out a 16-5 win over Sullivan in five innings on Monday night.
