Knights' JV baseball pounds out five HR

DANVILLE -- The Northview JV baseball team put on quite a power display on Thursday evening, demolishing Danville on the road, 19-3.

The Knights scored in all five innings and blasted five home runs in the process of improving to 10-4 overall this season.

Tyler Trout, Craig Peters, Curtis Grove, Dan Reberger and Jordan King all went deep in the victory. Reberger hit a two-run homerun and was 4-for-4 at the plate with three RBI's and three singles. Grove also had three RBI's and both Trout and Peters each had two RBI's. Tanner Glenn added to the hit parade with a pair of doubles in a 3-for-3 night and drove in two runs.

On the mound, Grove went all five innings, striking out five, giving up two runs and four hits while walking one.

The Knights are back in action on Monday night at 6 p.m.
