Senior Center to host dancing

Monday, May 17, 2010

Beginning Saturday, May 22, the Clay County Senior Center, 120 S. Franklin St., Brazil, will begin featuring country and western music every other Saturday evening.

The group which played at the Fallen Rock Park Inn last year will be performing at the center.

Local musician Leon Mercer will play with the group, which includes Dennis Long, Mike Perkins, Steve Manning, Don Black and Larry Jones.

For those wishing to line dance, there will be plenty of space available.

The group will begin playing at 7:30 p.m., and end around 9:15. Doors for the public will open at 6 p.m.

Hamburgers, hot dogs, soft drinks will be available for those wanting something to eat while listening and watching the group perform.

All are invited, young and old.

"Come on down and enjoy an evening of toe-tapping music and at the same time, support the Senior Citizens Center," center representative Rose Mary Price said.
