ROSEDALE -- To help kick off Rosedale's Strawberry Festival Bicentennial celebration and National Trails Day, Covered Bridge Gateway Trails Association, Inc., will host a three-level bike tour in southern Parke County Saturday, June 5.
The event will begin at 8 a.m.
All riders will register in front of Rosedale Elementary School, where they will receive food vouchers, including strawberry shortcake.
Novice riders can ride a 15-mile loop from the school to Bridgeton Mill and back. Intermediate riders may tackle a more strenuous 16-mile ride that also includes the mill. Advanced riders can ride a 30-mile track that includes the PCI RR Depot and Bridgeton Mill.
All riders will get to see covered bridges, a historic grist mill and the tree in the middle of the road in northern Vigo County.
SAG stops will be at the depot and the mill and support vehicles will be assisting the riders.
A registration fee of $25 will include the ride and food vouchers. All proceeds will be used to support trails and greenways in Parke County and west central Indiana.
