Applications for camp now being accepted

Tuesday, May 18, 2010

Applications are now being accepted by the Breakfast Optimist Club of Clay County for the 2010 Respect for Law Camp, conducted by the Indiana State Police.

Students entering fifth- and sixth-grades this fall term are eligible. Camp weekends begin June 10, with the last weekend scheduled for July 15.

The camp takes place at area colleges with days filled with activities and demonstrations conducted by ISP Troopers.

Total cost is $120, but the Optimist Club pays one-half of the fee for the first 30 enrollees to return their applications.

Applications may be picked up at Moore Funeral Home, 142 N. Washington St., Brazil, or by contacting Optimist Club member Ken Turner at 446-8495.
