Genevia Irene Myers, 97, died at 4:51 a.m., Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at Cloverleaf Healthcare, Knightsville.

She was born March 19, 1913, in Reelsville, Ind., as the daughter of John and Mary Young Boyd.

She graduated from Reelsville High School in 1931, and continued her education at the Brazil Business College.

She had worked at the Brazil Tomato Factory and later as a cook at the Reelsville Elementary School.

She was married to Everett Myers, who died October 1993.

She was a member of Croys Creek Congregational Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Everett Myers, sisters Gladys Haddon and Ermal Mathews, brother John Boyd, great-granddaughters Amanda and Alexis Levy, and son-in-law Jay Levy.

She is survived by daughter Suellen Levy Cope and husband Rex, Brazil, son Dennis Myers and wife Mary, South Carolina, grandchildren Cory Myers, Mark Hepler, Scott Levy, Sean Levy, and B.J. Levy, seven great-grandchildren and sister-in-law Helen Hayes.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Thursday, May 20, at Moore Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, at the funeral home, with Pastor Warren Whittington officiating.

Burial will follow at Croys Creek Cemetery.
