The Brazil Eagles Lodge, at the corner of State Road 59 and United States 40, Brazil, will conduct a fundraising dinner for the Clay County Veterans Van Group beginning at 4 p.m., Saturday.
The fundraiser is a pork chop dinner.
Cost for two pork chops is $8, while cost for one is $6. The dinner will also include potato salad, green beans, dessert and coffee.
Carryouts will be available.
The dinner is open to the public in order to support county veterans.
Door prizes and live entertainment will also be provided at the event.
The Eagles' fundraising dinner is the third in a series of fundraisers set up for the veterans van group.
The first was a spaghetti dinner at the V.F.W. Post 1127, while the second took place at the American Legion Post 2.
The final fundraiser -- a hog roast -- is scheduled to take place June 11, at the Brazil National Guard Armory, from 4-7 p.m.
The dinner will include potato salad, baked beans and coleslaw.
Cost for the dinner is $7, and -- according to information provided -- the dinner is being catered by Goodies Galore.
All proceeds from the fundraisers will go to purchase a new mini-van for the veterans group.
The purpose of the van is to help transport veterans to hospitals in Indianapolis and Danville, Ill., or other hospitals as needed.
Those unable to attend the fundraisers who wish to make a donation may do so at the Riddell National Bank drive-thru, by making checks out to the "Clay County Veterans Group," or by delivering them to the Clay County Courthouse, Box 104, VA Officer, Mike Holland, 609 E. National Ave., Brazil.
