The Rotary Club of Brazil will move its lunch meetings to a new site beginning Wednesday.
The Brazil Elks Lodge No. 762, 19 S. Sherfey St., Brazil, will host the meetings, which take place on Wednesdays from noon-1 p.m., and feature a speaker program along with a meal.
The meal costs $9.
Previously, the Rotary Club met at the YMCA of Clay County with catering provided by Simply Decadent.
"Our club is excited to be going back to meeting in The Elks Club right in the heart of Brazil," club president Susan Thomas said. "It's just in time for our club to be gearing up for the 75th Rotary of Brazil 4th of July Celebration."
Thomas said the club spoke with several businesses and organizations before electing to have the meetings at the Elks Club.
"There are many good dining opportunities in our city, but not all would fit with our needs," Thomas said. "Rotarian Brandon McKinney, who is also a member of the Elks, worked with us and the Elks to help achieve a good arrangement between the two clubs.
"We also had results of a club survey by president-elect Dr. Miranda Goodale, which helped to lead to us going back to meeting at The Elks Lodge, as we did several years ago."
